M.A.C Viva Glam Fashion Cares 25

On September 9th at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, huge names including Elton John, Janelle Monaé, Scissor Sisters and Sky Ferreira will grace the stage to celebrate M.A.C‘s 25th annual Fashion Cares event. This event will also be the final Fashion Cares, and those involved are sparing no expense on glamour.
Linda Evangelista will add the super status as she co-hosts with Dean and Dan Caten, the designers behind international label sensation DSquared2 ; other highlights of the evening include appearances by Diamond Rings, Serena Ryder, Carole Pope and more. There will also be two fashion shows – one current, and featuring designs by Vivienne Westwood, Greta Constantine, Pink Tartan, Gareth Pugh, DSquared2 and others; there will also be a retrospective fashion show featuring designs that have graced the Fashion Cares stage over its 25 year run.
Fashion Cares launched a quarter of a century ago to benefit the MAC AIDS Fund, and this final Fashion Cares will benefit various AIDS charities and organizations as distributed through the work of the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) and the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF); at least 70% of your ticket price will go directly to assisting and caring for those living with HIV and AIDS. To date, Fashion Cares has net almost $12 million dollars.
