Drakeland’s Lemonade Stand
THEIR ROCKIN’ MENU WILL DEFINITELY QUENCH YOUR THIRST
Story by Odessa Paloma Parker
Lately it seems like all of Toronto’s primary preoccupation has been the heat – but The Drake has a tasty way to help you beat the sticky, summertime blues.
To go along with their amusement park concept, Drakeland, which launched last month, the hip hotel has crafted a few clever ways to entice us to spend a night or two on its patio. Our favourite is the Lemonade Stand, complete with boozey sips like “Lavender Lemonade” (lavender syrup, vodka and lemonade), and “The Lemon Song” – an homage to the greatest band of all time; a combination of gin, muddled thyme and lemonade served on a copy of Led Zeppelin II (you can purchase the cd, too).
There are also lushless options on the Stand’s drink menu, so everyone can enjoy a little taste of summer, sauced or not.
