Designer and gemologist Kara Ross’ bold jewellery has been worn by the likes of Anne Hathaway, Liv Tyler and Michelle Obama, and it’s no surprise why – her eye-catching S/S 2012 collection is full of bright, beautiful statement pieces that add just the right amount of glitz.
The colour palette is a seafaring selection of blues, greys and greens set in glamourous gold castings. Gems like Labradorite and Hematite – which are said to possess powers like energy, love, protection and healing – add a touch of mysticism to the pieces, taking them from simply chic to utterly charming.
