BEACH-WORTHY GARB FROM A TFW NEWCOMER

A fresh breath of air, Laura Siegel’s show was all about the free spirit of fashion. With a seaside colour scheme and easy-breezy silhouettes, her chiffon, crochet and cotton twill pieces seemed to glide down the runway, accented with soft scarves adorning necks and crowns.
Touches of a hippie-ish aesthetic were prevalent, with tassels and beading as primary details.
Wearers can also breathe easy with this collection because Siegel’s design mission includes an ethical mandate – she has traveled the globe to find artisans who help craft her line, and she has studied knitting, silver-smithing and accessory design to enlighten her practice.
